The Wonderful Wiz really was WONDERFUL

July 30, 2017

On the 15th of July, Born to Perform Stage School put on their first ever musical production and what a show it was! The Wonderful Wiz was based on the classic tale of The Wizard of Oz but there were a few extra characters and twists along the way! Stevie Petley was certainly a strong leading lady as Dorothy Gale but her companions, Toto, Scarecrow, Tin Man and Lion were all fantastic too. No-one can deny that Ivy Stanley played the role of the Wicked Witch menacingly good and not to mention her two minions played by Zoe Shea and Keira Smith, who had brilliant comic timing! The entire cast were amazingly good and it was a delight to see so much young talent on the stage. Overall, it was a highly professional production and the Director and writer, Gabrielle Onyett should be extremely pleased with herself. I certainly took the trip down the yellow brick road and now I can not wait to see what the school has in store for next years show!
